Those people are fools.
I can understand the argument against joining the Big 12 when it looked like Texas, TT, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Nebraska, and Missouri were all going to leave but, not over questions of exposure.
BYUtv is great when we use it to pick up games that no one else wants to show. It should never take priority over some other entity willing to pay us for our content.
