3- All of Navy's & Boise States games were on my TV last year (each had one game on ESPN News but I still would have been able to watch them on my current package with Dish Network).

4- Possibly, although again Navy has one currently. I don't think BYU will go without some sort of protections against the prior mtn debacle at a minimum.

5- So is the problem winning or is it with the Indy scheduling. Most teams fail miserably with independence and it's actually a credit to BYU that they've done as well as they have. Utah State's program went into the toilet when they went independent.

6- I still believe that a conference championship is the best team goal year in and year out.

7- The Big East is probably a better fit for UConn than the AAC (at least for basketball which is what they seem to care about). I think the AAC would be much better for basketball and football for BYU (and better than the MWC as well).

8-10- It seems that you are a national championship or bust kinda guy. Right now, BYU has no realistic shot at a national championship regardless of independence, AAC etc. We can imagine crazy scenarios but they are fantasy and aren't going to happen. 1984 is gone so let's play for what we can play for whatever that goal may be (conference titles, top 25 rankings, winning lots of games, etc). If BYU can decide what their #1 goal is, then we can get on a clear path to get there. I'm not sure that winning lots of games works well with scheduling lots of P5 teams and the #1 goal may just be making lots of money.
