We've beat exactly 2 P5 teams that finished the season with a record above .500. Texas in 2013 and Wisconsin last year.
We drub Texas and then the very next week lose to a 5-7 Utah team... and previously lost to a 1-11 Virginia team as well.
Wisconsin... we beat them on their home field... come back home to our home field and get drubbed by USU, beat by NIU, beat by Boise State and then lose to Utah again.
The P5's we have beaten other than the 2 with above .500 records, we've needed OT or a Hail Mary or some other kind of hang on for our deal lives to win type of games... and those are against P5's that finished with a season record under .500.
So I think it's pretty safe to say... we know our place.
