Stumbled onto and watched a D.B. Cooper documentary recently. And while it was good and entertaining, the real impressive guy was Richard McCoy. He's the copy-cat (I'm pretty positive he was wasn't Cooper), that boasted about doing the same as Cooper but with more money. Then he want and did it, and got $500k instead of Coopers $200k. What's more, when the FBI figured out who he was and stormed his home to arrest him he was flying a helicopter with the search party that he was responsible for launching.
He made some small mistakes that led to his being caught, but I have to say I'm impressed that he bragged about pulling of the same thing then went and did it.
Also, if you're a D.B. Cooper aficionado (and not merely known by the name on CB), I'd love to hear your thoughts on the Cooper and where he might be today.
