in the early 70's quickly set the groundwork in participation so the USA would immediately be dominant when the first Women's World Cup in 1991 was rolled out. Although in general in England soccer marinates their entire culture, until as recently as 1971, women in England were banned from playing soccer at the grounds of Football Association clubs. That sort of encapsulates women and soccer around the world, although it is changing. US women don't have to compete with and grow in a very competitive and well developed soccer environment like the men do.
The women do not generally have more viewership and attendance than the men. Not when looked at honestly and appropriately.
Women soccer players do not get paid equally with men in Europe.
