Squatters is good if you're looking to keep it casual but still eat good food
Here are a couple others I like
Finca - Spanish Tapas restaurant, great paella
Red Rock - Similar to Squatters (brew pub with solid food)
Copper Onion - farm to table fresh food...never had a bad meal here
Pago - 9th & 9th area...kind of expensive but good food
Rodizio - in Trolley Square is fun if they want lots of meat, good salad bar
Pallet - it's a little small but I like it
Valters is very good...but expensive
