If you can’t be optimistic with the O Line (most important group given a halfway decent QB) and pretty solid horses
at almost every position this year, why be a BYU fan? This is who we are and that’s fine. We will almost always go up against better talent when we play any program of significance. But year in year out we are the scrappiest team in college football. I truly believe that. If we aren’t, who is? We’ve had some hitches lately but what program hasn’t?

I like how Cowherd compared us to USA football.

I just believe as a college football fan, this is the time of year to be optimistic about your team, even if in a guarded way. If I’m going into a season being pessimistic, the whole thing is a waste of time for me. I can go be pragmatic about a million other things in my life.

I’m going in as a BYU football fanatic.
