It's bad because the conference has been cannibalizing itself. Look at how many different ACC champs, SEC champs, BIG 10 champs, and Big 12 champs there have been in recent years compared to the PAC. It's fun for competition, but it's not fun for national prestige. You need your blue bloods to act like blue bloods.

PAC12 champs since 2000 - 8, soon to be 9 🙂
ACC - 5
SEC - 5
Big 10 - 8 (but that includes a big Northwestern/Purdue/Illinois trifecta in 2000/2001 w/ shared titles)
Big 12 - 6 (but this includes Colorado, so maybe we should give that one to the PAC)
