The Machine All-American
Does anybody else hate when authors include vernacular with the accompanying
punctuation in their character dialogues? It's distracting and pretty much always feels forced. I find it to particularly be so when the author is trying to use vernacular that they do not speak themselves. Mark Twain's usage in his books felt natural. Most do not.
