The world is a very big place. One person's success doesn't take anything away from me. In fact, I gain considerably when people I am close to make a splash. I benefit. I actually think my instinct to sincerely root on those in my social and professional network comes from my selfishness.

Now, people who cross me...that's a whole other story. I cheer for their demise.
