If spy planes like the SR71 interest you this talk has some cool info
Its crazy some of the stuff - like they get into at the 25 minute mark - that went into these spy planes.
(Like how they leak so much fuel on the ground and its ok because the engine compacts so much at 70,000 feet that it seals everything up, or the huge amount that the metal contracts, or how they managed to get the materials for the plane from the Soviet Union....so they could then use the plane to spy on the Soviet Union, how it was such a secret project that the government actually paid $1,000,000 by check sent to a guys house, cruise speed faster than a speeding bullet, etc.)
Anyway, first few minutes are a bit slow but starting at the 13 minute mark I thoroughly enjoyed it.
