The NFL guys are used to practicing and playing against that speed daily. BYUs
Scout team just can't prep players for teams with elite speed. The angles backers were taking to the flats were horrible.
Could be wrong, but i don't think they punted that game and Ponder was nearly perfect. Scheme did not work well and they just ate up the 12 yard cushions DBs were giving. DLine was non existent, but to be fair, Ponder was getting rid of the ball quickly and picking up 8 yards a pop.
BYU did overlook them since FSU lost to a terrible USF team the week prior, but USF had major speed that helped them match up.
