There is a reason Troy Taylor took a $500k paycut to go to FCS. He knew he was on the way out. He was hired to bring in this creative offense. He was more concerned about looking like an offensive genius than utilizing his strengths. I personally talked to a starter from last years team and he was pretty excited for the change. In his words, last years offense was totally disorganized. He said the players didn't know half the time if it was a pass or a run...Taylor tried to leave everything open to reads and more times than not, it was like playing pickup ball. They just relied on their athleticism to make plays.
Ludwig showed vs Alabama Sugar Bowl, Wisconsin, and Vanderbilt how to uitilize the strength of his players. Everyone on the hill...meaning players, are very excited about this years approach...they said the focus is on utilizing the strengths. They will pass 20 times in a row or run 20 times in a row this year depending on what their strengths are against their opponent. The games last year where Moss was forgotten will probably be a little different this year.
