Pac 12 Won't Take Schools that Are Not Major Research Graduate Universities
The Pac 12 (like the Big 10) is made up of major graduate research universities. Many are members of the Association of American Universities, an association of leading research universities. There's no way that the presidents and trustees of the Pac 12 schools are going to take a school that is primarily an undergraduate school without major graduate research programs (e.g. BSU or BYU). Its not a football issue or a money issue. BYU's only P5 hope is the Big12.
