I think most kids know that BYU on average is going to be superior to USU (last few years have been rough, but the overall historical record is in BYU's favor and hopefully things get back to that). But there are lots of kids sitting on a fence between BYU and Utah, and the Utah losing streak is more damaging to that recruiting than a few lost games to USU...
