Well, you don't want to jump over dollars to pick up quarters, so if it is
something you can parlay into continued business, take the time to work with them. So generally, I would take the time with them. I end up having to do this frequently as an attorney. Some people are sticklers about it. They will say my hourly rate is X and I will talk to you as long as you want at that rate. That is a bit short sighted to me. Collect 200 for some time, or bring a case in that is worth 50,000. Sure you will just throw away your time sometimes, but the next case the person brings might be a big one. If they have a positive experience, they will bring it to you.
