Milan Lucic traded to Calgary for James Neal. Thoughts, JCL? My first reaction

is that the Oilers just fleeced the Flames. Can't believe this is 1 for 1. Oilers are retaining 750k and will give up a 3rd rd pick if certain conditions are met, so that helps balance it I guess, but I just think Neal is so much more likely to bounce back even though he's a bit older. I'd be very pleased with this as an Oilers fan.

Milan Lucic days as a @EdmontonOilers are over. With Lucic waving his no move clause it opens up the trade to @NHLFlames. At this point sounding like a 1 for 1 trade for James Neal. @NHL

It’s not ideal, will remain to be seen which is the better deal.
