I've often wondered why more MLB players don't become great bunters
Great bunters ccan get a lot of infield hits and also wreak havoc on the pitcher and infielders. Brett Butler was a master at it when he played for the Dodgers years ago.

Now it seems that every player is swinging for the fences on every pitch. Yes, we're seeing a lot more HRs, but we're also see a lot more strikeouts. I'm not sure I like the feast or famine approach.
