I recall hearing a story along these lines from my dad
YM/YW were doing a play together, and for part of it they were all given ping pong balls. A bunch of the YM were behind the stage and were starting to make a lot of noise, including bouncing the ping pong balls around.
A female leader pokes her head around the curtain and sternly says, "Be quiet! And hold onto your balls!"
