in 10-15 years, where will all the old batteries go? In overall scope electric cars are not more environmentally friend than current ICE cars.
Also, there is a reason that no one has been able to produce enough affordable fully electric cars for mass adoption. The battery tech is just not there yet as current tech is too reliant on rare-earth minerals which are costly and harmful in their current method of mining.
Until there is a revolutionary breath-through in battery tech, electric cars in overall scope will never be less harmful to the environment than current ICE cars.
It may seem that I'm a "hater" on electric cars. I'm not. I'm very excited for the future of electric vehicles (hello Rivian!). I'm also a realist.
