See, I agree with you, about the CFP being higher tiered... but when I look at 2016 Ohio State, who got steamrolled
31-0 by Clemson in the semi-final Fiesta Bowl... part of me thinks that it would've been more rewarding to beat USC in the Rose Bowl.
Getting clobbered and humiliated by Clemson probably left a nasty taste in their mouths.
