For games as close as the BYU/Utah games have been, a missed call here and there can be (and often has been) the difference in the outcome of the game.

Not that anyone is "counting" on the refs to win the season opener for us, but more, it's important to be aware of this factor as it is A factor in the potential outcome of the game.

When it comes to the PAC12 and OOC football games, there is a shady history of some bias effecting the outcome of the game that I really don't like and have always been concerned about.

Football fans who are aware of this should be concerned too.
