We’re counting on a fanbase full of young families to show up at the very southern end of the northern Utah metropolitan area, on a school/work night at 8:15 PM, for the most expensive ticket prices of the season. When families with kids can’t attend, that already cuts out about 50% of the attendees. Not many BYU fans attending this game so that they can drink, which would lure many other fan bases for this type of game. And this for a rivalry game that we haven’t won in a decade.
I have a hard time seeing it go all that well for our attendance numbers against Utah. It seems like the exact time of game that’s not a good schedule for our fanbase. Am I up in the night here? Somebody help me with reason for optimism regarding the Utah game attendance, since I really am having a hard time seeing it.
