If it’s a bill from last year, it gets applied to last years allowable/max/deductible etc
I would call the hospital first and ask them if these are duplicate charges. They should have in their records where you’ve paid the amounts their requesting. If not, you’ll have to contact our insurance company and ask them to help figure out what you should have paid for what dates of service and go to the hospital with the info and speak to their billing department.

If that doesn’t work you can simply let her know that it is unacceptable to bill someone for services a year after the services were rendered and expect payment. An insurance company would deny these charges due to timely filing limitations and you can say you’re doing the same. My brother did this last year and the hospital wrote it off (about $900).
