This idea reminds me of perhaps my finest moment in high school
At our high school, the seniors would secretly pick a day to skip school towards the end of the year. Several of my freshman buddies and I thought this was a good idea so we decided to implement a similar day and dubbed it "freshman skip day". We kept the circle tight and on the appointed day, my friend (who didn't have a license yet) "borrowed" his older sister's car and shuttled us over to another friend's house. We had a great day hanging out, toilet papering our Science teacher's house, and just generally being idiots. Unfortunately, the mother of one of the participants went to his classroom to drop something off for him and he wasn't there. They figured out where we were and sent the Sheriff out to find us, but some of us crawled through an adjacent wheat field when we saw the Sheriff approaching and avoided capture. I made it back to the school and caught the bus home, thinking I was home free.

I got called into the principal's office the next day because someone had spilled the beans. I was given a day's suspension. My dad punished me by making me perform manual labor all day. My mom punished me by declaring that I had to miss the first week of summer league basketball. At that time, basketball was my life, and I was distraught. One day, I was sitting in word processing class after finishing my assignment when inspiration struck. We had recently received the summer league basketball schedule so my mom knew when it was supposed to start. I got another copy of the schedule and doctored it to show two additional games and several additional practices the week before the actual start and I typed up an accompanying letter explaining the change, forged the head coach's signature, and then copied the letter (since he wouldn't sign each letter individually). I took the letter home and pinned it to our bulletin board over the old one and then acted distraught during the fake basketball week. It worked like a charm. I kept that story under my hat until I had gone off to college and was about ready to leave on my mission, when we could all have a good laugh about my deceit.
