What is the proper valuation of a tax deduction?
A. Deduction amount x My effective tax rate
B. Deduction amount x My highest marginal tax rate
C. Something else
Also, how would you value a tax deduction in comparison to using pre-tax $ for something like a 401k, FSA, etc? Is the math the same either way?
