and has been struggling to force himself as a square peg into a round hole societal structure? I have seen many struggle with school when they should have allowed themselves to either get trade training or even create their own path which while risky would have ended up being the happier/better option.

So many with mental health issues just are not wired to follow the academic path that leads to a career at company xyz. The sheer effort required to even make it happen is herculean and while those observing from outside their mental state can point and judge them as screw ups or failures, they cannot see just how much they actually were able to accomplish with mentally their hands tied behind their backs.
