The family moved into our ward during this time, and I remember the day that walking to school stopped. No more heading out alone, no more waking to friends houses, etc. Suddenly we all were driven everywhere, all the time.

Don't take candy from a stranger, stranger danger, fight back, etc all came about during those years.

The kid turned out to be taken and killed by Gary Arthur Bishop. Tragic. Curiously it actually led to an incredible sealing experience in the temple as they decided to go there after it all went down.
