It's chirp, so not a hopper.
I suspect it is built on the LoRa Mac/PHY, or possibly a LoRawan, either way, it really isn't a "new" tech. Their is no "new" breakthrough invention...
These are really low data rate devices (think 300 bits per sec), and packets of like 11 bytes or something like that. I just cringe when I see something like this advertised as "100% reliable", or some sort of revolutionary disruptive tech.
