We were going back to Ramstein & got on a C-17 after waiting several hours for storms to clear. As be boarded, there was one huge crate in the middle of the plane and it had all of our luggage strapped to the top. We weren't allowed past a certain point because a relief crew had spread their sleeping bags on the ground behind the crate. It looked like they were going to be relatively comfortable.

We taxied out then took off. Once the nose was pointed skyward, a waterfall poured from the crate and flowed all over the sleeping bags that the crew had laid out. Apparently it sat out on the ramp during the lightning hold and collected a bunch of rain. Those poor guys were ticked. They must have slept somewhere else because we didn't see them after that.
