Probably the best burger for under $8 that I've had in recent memory (taking into account both quality and quantity).
For burgers in the up to $8 category, from a quality perspective, I'm somewhat partial to the gypsy burger at Cubby's. But I've always felt that it's pretty expensive for how much burger you get.
So I more or less tried to recreate as close to the same thing at Tonyburgers. Got the "Big Tony" with bacon, swiss, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, and BBQ sauce, which was about the same price as the single patty gypsy at Cubby's.
While I think the gypsy has a higher quality (albeit smaller) bun, better lettuce, and maybe slightly better BBQ sauce, the meat quality on the Tonyburger was comparably good and the patty seemed a good bit larger. Because of this, I felt like it was more burger for the money than Cubby's (while having reasonably comparable overall quality).
I also liked that their credit card reader didn't ask for a tip.
Obviously, from strictly a quantity perspective, you can get more burger for less money at some of the cheaper burger joints. But Tonyburgers does a nice job of hitting the market niche for those looking for the combination of decent quantity and better quality for no more than $8 (much better than, for example, Five Guys IMO).
