OVEN BAKED RIBS
Ingredients
- Heavy Duty Tin Foil
- Cookie Sheets
- Dry Rub (Store bought or homemade)
- 7-9 lbs of ribs
Vinegar Marinade
2 cups water
1 cup packed dark brown sugar
1/3 cup cider vinegar
6 medium garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 tablespoons kosher salt
2 tablespoons paprika
1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
Remove the membrane (sharp knife under, use paper towel to grab and rip it off). Sprinkle and pat rub into ribs. Place meat side down on tin foil. Tent foil and roll to middle then seal the ends. Refrigerate overnight. Prior to baking open foil and pour in the vinegar marinade and reseal.
Preheat oven to 220-225 degrees. Place foil packets on baking sheets and bake for 3 1/2 to 4 hours.
*** If BBQ Sauce is preferred to be baked onto the ribs they can be removed from the oven a half hour before cooking is completed. BBQ sauce can then be brushed onto the ribs. Cook for another half hour at 350 degrees with the foil packets open.
***You can also throw these on the grille for a half hour to glaze the BBQ sauce.
