It isn't. (I thought the same thing, going into it.) I'd generically call "Yesterday" a romance with magical realism,
while "Blinded by the Light" was more in the category of stark history viewed with hope provided by art.
I liked both movies. "Yesterday" was WAY more fun. "Blinded by the Light" made me think far more.
