Hunters: any good places to find good-condition secondhand hunting clothes?
I don't know if there is such a thing. I'm doing an amazing private land elk hunt this December but am new to big game hunting. I can't justify going out and buying an entire brand new head to toe kit when I don't know how much I'll end up doing this in the future (I'm already buying a new rifle and optics, boots and accessories). But I don't want to be cold . . . and I admit that I don't want to look like a total noob either.

I heard a podcast once where someone mentioned looking at the second hand stores in ski resort towns and perhaps being lucky and finding some great high-end ski clothes that people have gotten rid of after a weekend of skiing. I have a hard time thinking that hunters would do the same . . . but am hoping to get some ideals from you hunters on CB.

(Oh, and thanks to those of you who recommended some elk calls and calling videos — I'm getting pretty good at cow calls on my single-reed diaphragm call and am thinking of buying a bugle tube just for practice even though I'm going to be hunting considerably past the rut this year. It's fun learning to blow big, ripping bugles!)
