that Yoeli was missing early season games, though they'd still need to do enough with him to warrant an at-large bid. I think odds of BYU finishing 2nd in conference behind Gonzaga are greater w/ Harward, and having that added frontcourt depth could help them win 2+ games they otherwise might drop in conference play. The 6 non-conference games in question would include a bunch of good teams. I think best-case w/ Yoeli we go 4-2 in that stretch and could just go 3-3. Worst case w/o Yoeli we still go 2-4 so only a 1-2 game difference (though granted those 1-2 wins could be resume builders). Would you rather have 1-2 extra good wins on the resume in non-conference play but finish 3rd place in the conference again, or would you rather have a couple extra conference wins finishing 2nd place in conference but not have those 1-2 extra good wins (though committee would factor in that Yoeli wasn't playing early season)? Probably would be a bubble team either way with slightly different strengths/weaknesses in the profile.
All that being said, I'd rather have Yoeli's suspension reduced as I think that'd be the "right" thing to do.
