fans' continued admiration for Jim McMahon's ON-field heroics has always seemed to me like the father loving the Prodigal Son; the dad's love and affection for his wayward son is without limits or conditions. Why? Because the father had faith that one day his son would see the same greatness and goodness within himself that his father had seen in him all along.
If there is ONE Cougar who exemplifies that absolutely unyielding, relentless desire to win, to me, it is Jim McMahon.
