1. Gap or no gap, what matters is who wins the game. Right now Utah has an 8-game winning streak. They have bragging rights. I refuse to talk any smack to Utah right now, because anything I say sounds lame when BYU is currently on the short end of the hideous streak.

2. I actually love it when Ute homer broadcasters, former Ute players, and BYU fans in general talk about how the talent gap between Utah and BYU is increasing, that it will continue to grow, and that BYU victories over Utah will be few and far between in the future. Utah has stepped up to a P5 conference and is now a level above BYU. BYU is no longer really a rival of Utah. BYU can't really compete with the Utes any longer. They're not as talented, not as deep, just not as good as the Utes. It's reality.

Rather and make me upset, this kind of talk makes me laugh. I really hope the Utah players are hearing it and believing it. And I hope the BYU players are hearing it getting motivated to prove it's all talk and not reality.

Time to break the streak and put an end to all of this ineffable twaddle.
