Is it weird that I use the word "ton" only when referring to weight?
I can't read more than 20 CB messages without seeing the word used in other ways but it still seems weird to me.
"Coach Steward put in a ton of time..."
"Milne has also put in a ton of work..."
"...the rest do not have a ton of significant time to play."
ton, ton, ton.
After seeing it so often, it shouldn't still seem so strange but it does.
