I’m counting 4 players on the IL (out of nearly 30 this year) that were signed as FAs from other teams.
Ellsbury, who the Yankees don’t even care hasn’t come back.
Troy Tulowitzki, same. Also was making the minimum salary for the Yankees.

So not sure your point is a good one. I see what you’re trying to say, but don’t think it applies here at all. Most of the injuries have been from players acquired through trades or the farm and are from players under 30.
