I've tied my fandom to BYU and although it does appear we are a sinking ship (admin not investing into the program to keep up, lack of conference affiliation, indy, schedule, etc.). I'll still be repping my Y gear and watching every second of every game, regardless of the score.
But it is not easy being a BYU fan in this current era. I think the administration is the biggest culprit honestly.
