There’s that clip of gene siskel pointing out his performance in juice. He seemed to recognize the talent and potential right away. Tupac was amongst the most charismatic of the people on the list of not the most. He seemed the most ambitious politically. The most interested in social issues. He could’ve been an entrepreneur. A famous actor. An activist. Strictly a musician. A reality tv star. A businessman. A model. Whatever he wanted. He was already rubbing shoulders with the most powerful and influential African Americans of his time.
I tend to see him fitting in as a combo of jay z, will Smith and Kanye. Jay -z because I could see him having a brand and a business while still making music maybe marrying someone famous and being a power couple and rubbing shoulders with the obamas, will Smith because I could see him being a major motion picture star but with roles probably more serious in nature, and Kanye just because there seemed to be another side of Tupac that was just crazy. Kanye seems to insert his thoughts politically into the discussion. Kanye is involved in fashion and married a Kardashian. I could see Tupac being involved and influential in that type of sphere or realm because he was the best looking and He was a trend setter and an influencer.
It would be interesting to see that alternate universe. There is a real chance he could be more influential and more powerful than all of those guys and in many ways he already was or still is. But I think his net worth was going to go way up and his movie catalog would’ve seen a significant boost and I think he would’ve wielded some major political power in terms of activism.
