Don't make excuses re: BYU being a different animal than other schools.
It all comes down to football, period. Kalani is failing as head coach. I can handle losing if the other team is actually better than you, or they get a bounce here, or tip there etc; but it should NEVER be because you were not prepared, nor got your players prepared for the game, and that seems to be what it has been year after year for Kalani.

Do I think he wants to win? Sure I do - just like I really want to lose these last 25 lbs; but not bad enough to where I don't want to eat a 2nd loaded hot dog at the tailgate or the cookies my HCBW just made.

I don't think there are expectations or accountability on this team, which is sad. Those expectations MUST be there to be successful. Those expectations and accountability must be there for both players and coaches.

Example: defensive back (won't use his name) gets a needless personal foul penalty on the 1st drive of the second half, coupled with an unsportsmanlike call. Then, he does the same boneheaded thing on their 2nd drive with the needless facemask out of bounds that gave them back life on 3rd and 27.

Now, where is the accountability from the coaches? That kid would have been riding pine after the first 2 penalties if I were the HC. He wouldn't have been on the field the rest of the game. BUT, there is no accountability so he's back out there to mess something else up with undisciplined play on the very next series.

Yes, frustration is real with this coaching staff. I can handle being beaten by a BETTER team, more talented team etc; but it kills to be beaten due to coaching ineffectiveness.
