Communism in East Germany then Gorlitz is a good place to go.

The guy seems like an awful liar, says he hates the name Hitler and wouldn't wish it on anyone, but also has picture of Hitler on his wall. Does he not realize he can legally change his name?

Also the article says last living relative then the last paragraph says there are relatives in the US...so which is it?
