My dad is an immigrant and English is his second language. Once at a scout camp
He want on a scout camp with my older brother. He used to write poetry as a way to help him with English. Each night around the camp fire he would make up a poem or two about the scouts and what had happened during the day.

One night his poem went something like this:

"Doug **** is hardly ever a loner
until he goes and pulls a boner"

The entire scout troop lost it. My brother, who was like 14 at the time, had to pull my dad aside and explain to him the other meaning of the word. Poor Doug was made fun of for the rest of his youth.

Anyway, this is one of those stories that gets brought up in family conversations once every 5 years or so, and it always results laughing to the point of tears for about 30 minutes while the younger generation of family members look on in horror.
