Further, I voted in the above poll that it is most likely for BYU to remain independent.

Nevertheless, if the option were to be truly considered by BYU and like programs, I really wonder which programs really fit the bill.

I sense many on CB when faced with this type of pie in the sky question, choose teams based on nostalgia from MWC/WAC days or have a need to keep USU linked to us somehow.

Using criteria of teams "most P5 like" including criteria of program strength (esp football), size of university, stadium, resources, media factors.... who should really be chosen?

With a goal of 10 conference members, and starting with the given that the following programs would be included in a "Start a new best of all that's left conference":

1. BYU
2. Houston
3. Cincinnati
4. UCF
5. UConn
6. Navy
7. SDSU
8. Boise St.

Who is left that makes the most sense?

Would enjoy comments taking exception with my list of given teams as well.

I would be very bored with comments concerning why USU should be in that fold.
