As I looked over these past greats, I realized not many were speed burners. Watkins definitely had great speed. Maybe Collie and Hooks were pretty fast. All of them caught the ball. Great hands. They ran terrific routes. BYU has had success with tons of receivers like this.
The offense has a difficult task to put it all together against USC, a team loaded with great athletes. I'm hoping our receiver guys will play smarter, mistake free football Saturday, taking the positive momentum they finished with at Tennessee.
