Our vacation is based on seniority. Where I work, the only requirement is that

one of us with my job title has to be here. I'm 4 out of 6, so basically, since I'm not last, I get to take whatever time off that I want. Then, on days I haven't asked to take off, I can leave if I have no work to do so long as somebody else with my job title is here. I've been busy enough lately that it's not possible to do that, but it works in theory. . .
