TailgateU Walk-on
I think we win tomorrow. Here's why.

1. Regression to the mean. Slovis has come out and looked amazing. He's completing 85% of his passes and has yet to make a real mistake. No one is that good for too long. Even if he is the next great thing, he won't keep up that clip of completions. Mistakes will happen.

2. Game film on Slovis. BYU will be better able to game prep with film than Stanford could do.

3. Slovis inexperience. He's a freshman coming for his first away game, likely high on previous experience. LES is loud. It will be a completely new experience for him. I predict at least one INT from him.

4. USC rushing is not that great. It's really just 2 guys and we can slow that down (see #10) and force Slovis to win the game for them, which as mentioned above, will become harder for him as time goes on.

5. Perfect trap game. USC faces Utah, Washington, and Notre Dame in the next 3 weeks. Regardless of what coaches and players say, you know they are looking ahead. This is the perfect week for them to get even a tiny bit complacent while playing at altitude in front of a loud crowd.

6. BYU Confidence. Sticking it out like they did last week and coming up with a win will improve BYU's confidence, but they know they have to fight for everything. They can play with the top recruits and they know it.

7. Regression to the mean. Wilson has yet to show us what he did last season. We know it's there, and that the receivers are better this year. Time for a big game.

8. Ty'Son. The dude dragged half the Tennessee defense into the end zone. He's the real deal. Grimes knows it, and now so does Wilson.

9. Bushman. If they try to take the rush game away, Bushman will see the ball more.

10. Tonga. He's as tough as the country and bigger than every starting USC lineman. It's like rushing 4 guys without the 4th guy. He's a pro.

11. I'm hosting a watch party. We'll have great food and good people around (mesquite smoked pork for anyone interested in watching the game in Indiana!). It just feels like time for a completely happy afternoon, and I'm actually wearing blue glasses today (seriously, they're actually blue).

GO COUGS!!!
