some museum, homeless guy walks up asking for change, holds out his stump arm to shake. I looked at him not knowing what to do, so I just grabbed the end of the stump like I normally would to shake someone’s hand. Seemed appropriate.

Turns out (at leas that’s he said) he lost both arms from a land mine (or something like that).

Suffice it to say, we gave that dude some money.
