only a top 10 loss. Oregon is a perfect comparison. Lost their one good game (current #8, was 15 or so when they lost), beat up cup cakes the next two weeks. Oregon is ranked 16th.
But because in the preseason we got no respect, then we lost our opener to a top 15 team at the time we continued to get no respect. Now we beat a top 25 team and we're getting looks.
Based on the body of work, there are only a few teams with a better resume up to this point in the season. This is why I think if we managed to win out we'd be in the top 10. Would we be a top 10 team? Maybe not, but the AP poll is not really accurate, it's very emotion based week to week. Win streaks are rewarded and losses are harshly punished.
